What is the Chicken Coop?

It all began with a group of local artists and their desire to unite the towns in the river valley and provide a creative outlet for our community and our visitors. Thanks to ORA and The Crawford Center, we have secured a studio space that will host workshops, events and provide open studio time for those who wish to have a space to create. Through much effort and planning we are proud to open the Chicken Coop Studio 306 to the public.

The studio has beautiful natural light filtering through the massive windows nearly covering one entire wall. It also offers a cozy nook with couch and chairs for knitting, crocheting or just taking a break. Next to the nook is a small refreshment area with coffee, tea and water. A refrigerator and microwave allow you to bring your own food.

Educational and children's programs are also very important to us. Sara Black, a Core Member, is a GEMS facilitator and will be bringing a chapter of this wonderful program to our valley.
